Bicycles are all too easy to steal!
Why can't we have a bike like this?
One fitted with a Motion Detector, a SIM and mobile phone electronics. The SIM need only be Pay As You Go as it will get very little use.
One that can send you a text when it moves!
There are plenty of anti theft alarm for bikes on the market, even some with motion detectors, but they just make a noise and do not track them, or let you take much action after the theft.
It just needs a device that includes text messaging and a vibration detector, in fact an iPhone would do if you could conceal it but a much cheaper device that can be concealed in the handlebars, sadle or where-ever would surely be easy to manufacture.
The GPS is not essential as mobile phone signals can be triangulated to get some idea of location
I have not attempted to patent this (and now it is public nobody can) I just want someone to make it.
What should we call it - " Bike Messenger" or "The Bike Protector" or "Bike Thief Catcher" or "anti theft alarm for bikes" or "Bicycle Theft Alarm"

Of course, as you cannot get the Bike Messenger yet then there are still things you should do, if you don't want to have buy a new bike.
Lock it up
Take a photo of you locked up bike on your phone as you leave it. This will help when reporting it it gets stolen.
